Story of BUDDHA with beautiful Moral
The story of Buddha
One day Buddha was walking from one town to another with few of his followers.
They were traveling from the jungle and somewhere in the middle of it, they happen to pass through a lake. The Buddha told one of his followers that I'm thirsty, please get me some water from the lake over there.
The person walked up to the lake when he reached he saw that some people were washing clothes and at the same moment he saw a buffalo walking into the lake. As a result, the water was very muddy and not suitable to drink. So he thought, how can I give this muddy water to Buddha to drink. So he came back to the buddha and told that the water is very muddy and not fit for drinking.
So the Buddha said, let us take some rest here by the tree before we go ahead. So they all stayed there to get some rest. After half an hour the buddha told the same guy to go to the same lake and get some water to drink. The person obediently went to the lake. As soon as he reached the lake, he saw that the lake had absolutely clear water in it. The mud had settled down and the water looked fit to drink. So he collected some water in a pot and brought it to the buddha. The Buddha looked at the water and told the guy, see you let the water be and the mud settled down on its own, and you got clear water. It didn't require any effort.
The moral of the story is, you see in life our mind is like that. When it is disturbed, just let it be, give it a little time, it will settle down on its own. You don't have to put any effort in to calm it down.
We can judge and make the best decisions in our life when we stay calm.
